One of the things I want to do as director of the Institute is harness the brains, energies and experiences of university and other retirees. One of the best ways I know to do that is to ask them to share their insights on public policy questions facing society by simply writing essays for us.

I extend invitations to anyone in the retiree community to submit essays to us. The first to respond is the Rev. William R. Warner of Carbondale. 

He’s a retired Methodist minister who has some observations about the health care debate and what we can do about it.
